A Hidden Gem in Burbank, California
was sent to Burbank, California for work to do with a music producer that I manage. He was to work in a local studio and so I booked the hotel closest to it. I basically searched Expedia and read some reviews but didn't pay too much attention to it. I ended up staying at the Coast Anabelle Hotel on Olive Ave.First of all, they provided free transportation to and from the Burbank Airport (which I love flying into because it's painless compared to LAX) and that's just money saved. Second, when I pulled up to the hotel it seemed very bland, almost like they were trying to blend into the background scenery. I didn't get it at first but I later found out why as I was going up the elevator with Carmen Electra and there wasn't a single photographer around. She mentioned how quiet and secluded this hotel felt eventhough it was a half mile from all of the major TV studios. As soon as you walk into the atrium lobby you feel like you've entered luxury and that's before you see the rooms. This is the only hotel that I've ever been to where there is a full fledged PC inside the room at the work desk. You can do anything you want on this PC without any restrictions. The PC just reformats itself every night so you can't do any damage. I wish I would have done more research before I hauled my laptop with me. I could have just brought my USB chip and that would've been enough. The PCs are connected to flat screens on the wall where you can watch all sorts of HD shows and movies. Here's the part that tickled me. The PCs had games built into them. Now I know what you're thinking. Not like a couple of Nintendo games that you get in other hotels. This PC had games from when I was a kid and it had thousands of them. I couldn't believe it. I had such a good stay that I will never stay anywhere else again when I'm in the LA area. This hotel is perfect for families since Universal Studios is right up the street and perfect for the business traveler. Just bring your clothes and USB chip and you can do your work on their computers. It was great. So check them out at www.coastanabelle.com and let me know what you think. Tony_Garibian
